INDUSTRIAL 3D PRINTING
PARTNER

Your contract manufacturing partner

Founded in 2013, Materflow Oy is a Finnish contract manufacturer specializing in industrial 3D printing and additive manufacturing. Based in Lahti, Finland, we produce 3D printed plastic and metal parts for industrial applications, from one-off prototypes to continuous serial production.

Customers can come to us with an idea, a 3D model, a broken spare part or a production challenge. We help select the right material and manufacturing method, manufacture the parts in-house and deliver them finished for use. If 3D printing is not the right solution for the application, we will tell you directly.

3D-Printing service for plastics

We manufacture 3D printed plastic parts for industrial applications, from prototypes to end-use parts and serial production. Plastic 3D printing is especially well suited for situations where functional parts are needed quickly, without tooling costs or the minimum order quantities of traditional manufacturing methods.

We use industrial SLS and FDM materials such as PA12/6, PBT and TPU. Our material range also includes fiber-reinforced and flame-retardant materials. The material is selected based on the part’s requirements, such as stiffness, wear resistance, heat resistance, flexibility and flame rating.

Around 85% of the parts we manufacture are used in end-use applications, so for us 3D printing is not just prototyping.

3D-Printing service for metals

We manufacture 3D printed metal parts for industrial applications, from prototypes to end-use parts and small production batches. The method is especially well suited for parts that require complex geometries, internal channels or lightweight structures.

We use industrial metal materials such as hardenable stainless steel 15-5 PH and cobalt-chrome, CoCrW. When needed, material properties can also be adjusted through heat treatment carried out in our own production.

The greatest benefits of metal 3D printing come from DFAM design: the part is designed for the manufacturing method instead of simply copying an existing geometry. This can reduce unnecessary material and improve performance.

From print to production-ready part

From printed part to ready-to-use component

A 3D printed part is not always ready immediately after printing. We offer post-processing for both plastic and metal parts to improve surface quality, dimensional accuracy, appearance and the properties required by the application.

For plastic parts, our post-processing options include plastic bead blasting, glass bead blasting, machining, chemical smoothing and vibratory finishing. For metal parts, we offer options such as glass bead blasting, machining, centrifugal polishing, heat treatment and electropolishing.

Our goal is to deliver a part that is not only printed, but ready for testing, assembly or production use.
